The Texas high school football semifinals are set for Dec. 8-10, and four Austin-area teams are still in the hunt for a state championship.

Westlake won its 54th straight game over San Antonio Brennan, 47-7, on Saturday at the Alamodome, but they're about to face their toughest challenge yet in the 6A-Division I semifinals at Galena Park North Shore.

Both are undefeated and will meet at Rice Stadium in Houston on Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Prosper and Duncanville will play in the other semifinal.

Vandegrift also has a 13-game winning streak in the 6A-Division II semifinals against Katy on Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Alamodome. The Vipers knocked off district foe Dripping Springs 27–24 on Friday. Denton Guyer and DeSoto will play the other semifinal in the bracket.

Liberty Hill defeated Corpus Christi Flour Bluff 63-43 in the 5A-Division II quarterfinals and will play Port Neches-Groves in the semifinals. That game is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Legacy Stadium in Katy. Argyle and South Oak Cliff play in the other

Semi final. South Oak Cliff beat Liberty Hill 23-14 in last year's state championship game.

In 4A-Division II, the undefeated Wimberly Texans put their season on hold against the Cuero Gobblers in a semifinal at the Alamodome, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. Glen Rose and Carthage will play in the other semifinal at the Ford Center in Frisco.
